The Bastiman family name has been synonymous with horse racing for over 50years and landing substantial touches for their owners.

Borderlescott made the breakthrough that his trainer's talents so richly deserved, by providing Robin with his biggest career victory to date, smashing the Newmarket track record by 1.23secs when winning the Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes 2008.

Purchased by his trainer Robin Bastiman for just 13,000gns at Doncaster Yearlings sales and now the winner of over 377,000 in prize money.

Racehorse ownership is not all about the day at the races, and this yard thoroughly encourages all it's owners to come down to the yard as much as possible, to see their horse and to watch the morning gallops, and just as importantly to enjoy one of Pauline's famous breakfasts!!

We have a circular 6 furlong all weather gallop and two grass gallops. One runs just inside the all weather and the 4 furlong gallop runs diagonally through the middle. This gives the horses plenty of variety to work on different surfaces.

The yard is situated at the end of a no through road where road work can be done without fear of cars passing at speed.

We have a horse walker, turn out pens and paddocks. I believe in turning out my horses as it gives them the opportunity to relax and not be stuck in a box all day. When the are in their box the stables look out over fields so there is plenty for the horses to see and keep them interested.

Due to this being a close knit family run yard, we can keep overheads to a minimum, the training fees are extremely competitive compared to most other yards. Basic training fees are just 900stg plus vat per month, and the horses get meticulous personnel care and attention, that some bigger yards cannot provide.
