Born 29^th May 1945 in Wellington Hospital, Somerset, Martin Charles Pipe is the son of West Country bookmaker David Pipe Snr.  Indeed, Martin's early ambitions were not in the direction of training, but to follow in the footsteps of his father and become a "Turf Accountant", serving his apprenticeship in the Taunton office.

Pond House Racing Stables boasts facilities that have pioneered and revolutionised the racing world.  The training facilities include the all weather gallop, indoor canter and loose schooling arena, indoor swimming pool, solarium, horse walker and treadmills.  Add to this our very own on site laboratory, with Laboratory Technician and fully qualified Vet on hand to oversee the general care of the horses, and it is not difficult to see why Martin Pipe has been crowned champion trainer an amazing 10 times, and why the Pond House team have broken every record in the book.
