For over sixteen years, Jonjo enjoyed an outstanding career as a jockey which earned him the coveted title of Champion Jockey - not once but twice!

Still in love with the sport, Jonjo is now an established and highly successful racehorse trainer. Having gained his first trainer's licence in 1986, he has achieved his ambition to build one of the most modern and best-equipped training stables in the country.

His reputation for training successful jumpers soon encouraged him to train flat horses and they now form a major part of his regular successes.

The Training Stables boast some of the best facilities in the country which include over 70 modern boxes, indoor horse walkers, equine swimming pool, therapy solariums, indoor training school, weighing machine and a range of schooling hurdles and fences. The yard offers a variety of gallops which include grass, sand, woodchip and an all-weather Eurotrack.

The 106 acres contain various railed paddocks where horses are turned out to grass.

The general health of the horses is closely monitored and, where necessary, they receive the services of the farrier and the vet.
