I was born in Chantilly in 1963 and this is probably thanks to this horse-passionate environment that I developed an early interest in racing, despite anyone in my family being involved in the industry. When I was in high school I started riding out and later took out an amateurs licence for a few seasons, whilst continuing to pursue economic studies at the Sorbonne in Paris.

In 1986 I was given the opportunity to work in the USA for successful trainer John Nerud, the man who made Dr. Fager, Fappiano, Cozzene, at its New York base.I started as an excercise rider and progressed to becoming assistant trainer. On the whole I spent 5 years in this enriching environment, gaining a valuable ‘hands on’ experience and discovering the operation of the world’s leading thoroughbred industry.

Back in Chantilly I spent another five years as assistant trainer to Robert Collet, a name associated with those of multiple international champions including Le Glorieux, Last Tycoon and Whipper. I learned a lot whilst working with this very wise and skilful professional with more than 100 charges.

Facilities

My yard is located in the very heart of the world famous training centre of Chantilly, which enables me to make the most of these huge facilities. With an unbelievable variety of sand, grass, and polytrack gallops available, it is a joy to plan the day to day training of each horse.
